How To Make Whipped Cream in a Mason Jar in Under 2 Minutes

Posted by Vanessa Siegal on

Now you can make fresh whipped cream in single servings, with no electricity, no big tools or bowls, and in under 2 minutes. All you need is a Mason Jar and a VansieHome WhiskBall.  Here is the recipe for one large serving or two small servings of whipped cream:

1/2 cup cold heavy cream
1 tablespoon powdered sugar (you can also use granulated sugar)
1 Mason jar
1 VansieHome WhiskBall

Add all ingredients and the whiskball to the mason jar. Close the lid tightly. Shake the jar for 45 seconds to 90 seconds, depending on how vigorously you shake. You can get it down to 30 seconds for stiff peaks if you start out with a cold mason jar & whiskball.

Accomplish this "polished" look by taking a plastic bag and cutting 2 small notches in one corner. I basically cut a cross into the corner. It doesn't need to even be a half inch deep. Then fill the baggie with the cream and squeeze it out the cut corner.  I call this the redneck piping tool. :-) Of course, you can always use a "real" piping tool if you have one.
